Lemon sevai

Ingredients:

Semiya noodles             – 1 cup
lemon                            -1 large
sesame oil                      – 3 tbsp
mustard seeds                – 1tsp
urad dhal                         – 1tsp
chana dhal/bengal gram – 1 tbsp
peanuts                            -1 tbsp
green chili                        -2 slit
red chili                            -2
curry leaves                      -few
turmeric                            -1/2 tsp
salt                                    -to taste

preparation time    : 5 min
cooking time         :  15 min

Method:

  • In a pot let water boil.Add adequate salt and little oil.When water starts boiling add the semiya noodles to it.


  • Once the semiya gets cooked ,drain it thoroughly.


  • In a pan heat oil ,and allow mustard seeds to splutter.add green chilies , red chili , curry leaves, urad dhal, bengal gram , peanuts and fry for 3-4 minutes or until it turns golden.


  • Now add the drained semiya noodles and lemon juice( taken from 1 lemon) to it and mix thoroughly.



  • Lemon Sevai is ready to serve
