Lunch Well spent @ French Door ,Coimbatore

In a beautiful afternoon at Coimbatore, the Mellow Bites crew decided to have a lunch at a fine dine restaurant named The French Door. The restaurant serves Continental European French and Mangalorean cuisine dishes. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with cream white black and green color, creating a very chic and sophisticated atmosphere. The menu card is also very well designed, with prices ranging from 250 to 900 rupees.

The crew first ordered tomato basil Bruschetta, an Italian dish made with freshly baked french baguette. They described the dish to be very fresh and delicious. The second dish was the salad butter garlic prawns, a Mediterranean Indian dish. The prawns were described as super juicy and aromatic. They also could not resist ordering a pepperoni pizza, which they described to be super tasty with a perfect crust, yummy pizza sauce, and generous amount of cheese.

Next, they tried the classic French dish Coq au Vin, a non-alcoholic wine braised chicken served with mashed potatoes. The chicken was described as very juicy, soft and flavorful. However, they found the mashed potatoes to be a little lacking in creaminess. They also ordered smoked salmon Bagels, but unfortunately, they were disappointed as they could not taste the smoked salmon at all.

For their main course, they had chicken ghee roast, a Mangalorean dish served with flavored basmati rice. They described the chicken to be flavorful and perfectly cooked. Finally, for dessert, they had Tiramisu. Everyone loved it, especially Bhargav who could not stop sharing it with others.

Overall, the crew enjoyed their dining experience at The French Door. The ambiance of the restaurant was very pleasing, and the food was fresh and flavorful. However, they mentioned that the price of the dishes were on the higher side and waiting time was a bit long.
