Hi foodies! Welcome back to Mellowbites. Today, we’re visiting one of our favorite restaurant chains, P.F. Chang’s, located inside a mall in Dubai. Established in 1993 by Philip Chiang and Paul Fleming, P.F. Chang’s is renowned for celebrating the 2000-year-old tradition of wok cooking, making it a must-visit spot for Asian cuisine enthusiasts. The ambiance at P.F. Chang’s was incredibly inviting, setting the perfect mood for our meal.
The menu was impressive, featuring enticing food pictures and a wide array of Asian dishes. Our server was exceptionally helpful, taking the time to explain the menu in detail to ensure we made the best choices. We began our meal with a refreshing hibiscus cooler, a mocktail that delighted our taste buds and set the stage for what was to come. For starters, we chose the dynamite shrimp, which came highly recommended. This dish featured crispy tempura-battered shrimp tossed with sriracha aioli, delivering an explosion of flavor that was simply unforgettable. We also had the chicken lettuce wraps, an iconic favorite from P.F. Chang’s. These wraps offered a delightful combination of juicy chicken, crunchy rice crisps, and fresh lettuce—absolutely delicious!
For the main course, we ordered Mongolian beef, served with rice. The beef was perfectly saucy and paired beautifully with the rice. We also enjoyed the coconut curry vegetable bowl, which included stir-fried vegetables, crispy silken tofu, and peanuts in a vegetarian coconut curry sauce. This dish was not only nutritious but also incredibly tasty, making for a satisfying and healthy lunch.
After a nine-year hiatus, returning to P.F. Chang’s was a delightful experience, reaffirming why it’s one of our favorite dining spots.
