Kashmiri chicken

 

Ingredients:

Chicken-500 g
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Bay leaves-2
Salt-to taste
Kashmiri chilli powder-1 tsp
Fennel powder -1 tsp
Dry ginger powder-1 tsp
Beaten yogurt-1cup
Oil-2 tbsp
Cinnamon powder-1/2 tsp
Cloves,Cardamom-2
Garam masala-1/4 tsp
 

 

 
 Method:
  • In a kadai heat oil and allow cumin seeds to splutter and add bay leaves
  •  
  • Now add the cleaned and medium sized cut chicken into it and fry for 3 minutes
  •  

  • Add the kashmirichilli powder,dry ginger powder,salt and fennel powder
  • Fry for another 5 minutes

  • Now beat the yogurt and pour to it along with 1 cup of water

  • allow it to boil and then cover it with a lid
  • cook until chicken is well done and sprinkle the cinnamon powder and garam masala

  • Now cover the lid for another minute until the aroma gets into it
  • Serve with  Rice or naan
