Chicken tandoori


Ingredients

Chicken leg                                       -5
Plain yogurt                                      -1/4 cup
lemon juice                                       -1tbsp
Ginger garlic paste                            -11/2 tbsp
Chilli powder                                    -1 tbsp
Coriander powder                             -11/2 tbsp
Cumin powder                                  -1tsp
Garam masala powder                      -1tsp
Pepper powder                                 -1tsp
Food color(red)                                -1 pinch
Fenugreek powder or dry leaves       -1tsp
salt                                                   -to taste
oil                                                    -for brushing

Method

Using a sharp knife, cut slashes over the chicken flesh so that it allows the marinade to penetrate deep inside the chicken

Mix all spices listed above with yogurt and lemon juice to make marinating paste.


Then apply the mixture over the chicken and rub it into the flesh, turning the chicken several times. Cover and refrigerate 5 hours or overnight.







, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Place the chicken on a tray , brush with oil and put it in oven

and cook upto  25 to 30 minutes until golden brown (you can put in broil mode for the last 5 minutes to get a crisp texture if you prefer too.)


Serve with sliced onion and lemon.
