Kodi Vepudu (Andhra special Chicken)

Kodi Vepudu

Ingredients

Chicken                      -1/4 kg
Onion                         -1 medium
Cashew nuts               -10
Whole garam masala
Ginger garlic paste     
(or crushed)                 – 1 tbsp
tomato                         -1 tbsp(finely chopped )
Chilli powder              -1/2 tsp
Coriander                    -1/2 tsp
Garam powder            -1/4 tsp
Oil                               – 1 to 2 tbsp
Salt                              – to taste

Method

  • In a kadai heat oil and add whole garam .
  • Add cashew nuts and  onion and cook for  2 min.
  • Add ginger garlic paste (or crushed) and fry until  the raw smell goes off




  • Now add the finely chopped tomatoes stir 2 -3 min then sprinkle little water.
  • After it gets mashed add the chilli powder, coriander powder,garam masala and salt.

  • Cook until oil oozes out.
  • Add the cleaned chicken to it and fry well.
  • After it mixes add 1/4 cup of water and cover it with the lid.

  • Cook until chicken is well cooked and oil oozes out.
