Vendhaya keerai baji/methi baji

Ingredients:

Vendhaya keerai/methi    –  1 cup
dosa batter –  1 cup
besan                                –  1/2 cup
ginger and garlic              –  1 tsp shredded
chilli powder                    –   1 tsp
cumin seeds                      –   1/4 tsp
baking soda                      –   1 pinch
salt                                    –   to taste
oil                                     –   to deep fry

 

Method:

  • Clean and chop the vendhayakeerai/methi .
  • Mix the dosa batter,besan,shredded ginegergarlic,salt,chilli powder,cumin seeds,baking soda (1 pinch)(remember that ur dosa batter may have salt in it).

  • Heat oil for frying
  • make the batter into small dumplings and put in oil
  • Deep fry until golden.

  • Serve with coconut chutney
