Turkey Biriyani
Ingredients:
Turkey           – 1 kg
Basmathi rice –Â Â 21/2 cup
Coconut milk – 11/2 cup
Onion            – 1 big sliced
Tomato          – 1big sliced
whole garam   – to temper                Â
Ghee  /oil       – 2tbsp
salt                – to taste

For Grinding
Ginger                          – 11/2 inch
Garlic cloves         – 6-8
green chilies         – 8
fennel seeds          – 1/2 tsp
cilantro                  – few
mint leaves/Pudhina -30 leaves
corianderseeds        -11/2 tsp
cumin seeds            – 1 tsp
whole garam – cinnamon,cloves,cardamom,bayleaves,anise

Method:

In a blender grind the above ingredients for grinding into a fine smooth paste and keep it aside

In a cooker heat ghee and temper the whole garam

Now add the sliced onions

After it becomes transparent add the sliced tomatoes

After a minute add the turkey and salt
Â

Mix it well and fry for few seconds now add the ground paste.

mix well and close the cooker and pressure cook for 3 whistles

Now after the pressure goes off add the coconut milk with 3 cups of water and desired salt for rice

Simultaneously put the soaked rice(soaked for20 minutes) and add it once the mixture starts boiling

cover the cooker and cook for one whistle and take out off the flame.Once the pressure goes off open it and garnish with chopped cilantro
