Peanut chutney

Peanut chutney

Ingredients:

For grinding:

roasted peanuts           – 1/2 cup
shredded coconut        – 1 cup
red chillies                  – 1-2
salt                              -to taste
tamarind paste            -1/2 tsp

for tempering:

mustard seeds         -1/4 tsp
urad dal                   -1/2 tsp
red chillies              -1
curry leaves            -few
oil                           -little

Method:

  • Make sure you are using roasted peanuts with no skin.
  • In a blender grind all the ingredients together given for grinding into a lightly coarse paste.
  • In a pan heat oil and allow mustard seeds to sputter.

  • follow it by other ingredients given for tempering.
  • Pour the tempering into the ground chutney.

  • Serve with Dosa or idli
