Creamy chicken masala
Ingredients:
Chicken                    – 1 kg
salt                             – to taste
turmeric                    -1/2 tsp
whole garam             – to temper
coriander powder      -1 tbsp
kasoorimethi             – 1 tsp
oil                              -1 tbsp
heavy cream              -1/4 cup
for grinding:
Onion                      – 1
tomato                     – 3
Pudhina/mint           – 1/4 cup
green chillies           – 6-8
ginger                      – 1/2 inch
garlic                       – 4
fennelseeds/sombu  – 1/2 tsp
Method:
- In a blender grind the ingredients given for grinding into a fine paste.
- In a kadai/heavy bottomed pan heat oil and temper with whole garam.
- Add the ground paste to it.
- Once it starts bubbling add salt,turmeric and coriander powder.and kasoori methi.
- Cook until the masala shrinks and oil oozes out.
- Now add the chicken and desired salt(for chicken)and cover it with a lid.
- cook until chicken gets cooked(chicken gets cooked in its own water)
- Open the lid and pour the heavy cream and stir well.Add water if necessary
- Serve with Rice/Chapathi
