Mutton kofta balls/Mutton kola urundai

Mutton kofta/Mutton kola

Ingredients:

Mutton keema                      – 1 kg
ginger garlic paste                –  2 tbsp
fennel powder                       –  1 tsp
chilli powder                         –  2 -21/2 tsp
onion                                     –  1finely chopped
garam masala                        –  1 tsp
turmeric                                –  1/4 tsp
salt                                        – to taste
shredded coconut dry           -1/2 cup
roasted chanadhal powder    -1/4 cup
egg                                        -3-4
cilantro                                  -few
oil                                         -to deep fry

Method:

  • In a kadai  add muttonkeema ,gingergarlicpaste,turmeric,garam masala,fennel powder,salt,chilli powderand finely chopped onions  and cook it until well done and left with no moisture(no moisture is more important aoherwise the kofta will break).

  • Allow it to cool and blend it in a mixture.
  • Now add shredded coconut,roasted chanadhal powder,chopped cilantro and mix well.

  • Beat eggs in a bowl.
  • Add it to the mutton and mix thorougly and make koftas/balls

  • Heat oil for deep frying and fry the koftas in batches until it turns golden.

  • Serve as a appetizer.
