Mint Chutney

Ingredients:

Onion            – 1 sliced
Tomato          – 1 sliced
Mint leaves    – 1 cup
garlic cloves   – 2
green chillies  -2
chana dhal      -11/2 tsp
urad dhal        -1/2 tsp
mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
salt                  -to taste
oil                   -1 tsp

Method: 

  • In a pan heat oil and add the chana dhal ,garlic cloves and green chilies.
 

  • Add the sliced onions and cook until transparent.

  • Follow it with chopped tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes.

  • Add the mint leaves and cook until it  shrinks. Add desired salt.

  • Allow it to cool off and grind it into a smooth paste.
  • Temper with mustard seeds and urad dhal.
  • Serve with idli/Dosa
