Chicken Achari masala (pickled chicken)
Ingredients:
Chicken                – 3/4 kg cleaned and cut
Onion                 -11/2 cups finely chopped
tomato                 -11/2 cup finely chopped
ginger garlic paste        -1 tbsp.
 kashmiri chilli powder        -1/2 tsp
salt                   -to taste
oil                    -3-4 tbsp.
For Achari masala:
Red chillies              -3
mustard seeds         -1tsp
fennel seeds/sombu  -1 tsp
onion seeds/kalonji  -1/2 tsp
cumin seeds       -1/2 tsp
fenugreek seeds    -1/2 tsp
Method:

In a pan dry roast the ingredients given for achari masala until nice aroma comes out.

Allow it to cool off and blend it into a fine powder.

In a pan heat oil and add the chopped onions and fry until golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste  and fry until raw flavor goes off.

Follow it with tomatoes and cook until nicely mushy.Â
