Cabbage Poriyal
Ingredients:
Cabbage         – 250 g shredded
oil              -1 tbsp
mustard seeds     -1 tsp
urad dhal        – 1 tsp
cumin seeds      -1 tsp
red chillies       -3-5
curry leaves      -few
onion            -1/2 finely chopped
shredded coconut  -11/2 tbsp
salt              – to taste
Method:
- In  a kadai heat oil and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
- Temper urad dhal,whole red chillies,cumin seeds and curry leaves along with it.
- Follow it with finely chopped onion and fry until translucent.
- Add the shredded cabbage to it and fry for a minute.
- Add desired salt and cover it with a lid.
- Open and stir it once in a while and when the cabbage is almost done add the shredded coconut to it.
- Mix well for a minute and switch off the stove
- Serve as a side with Rice
