Turkey keema masala
Ingredients:
Ground turkey           -800 g
Onion                  -1/2 finely chopped
Ginger chopped          -1 tsp
Coriander powder        -11/2 tsp
Chilli powder           -1 tsp
Turmeric               -1/8 tsp
salt                   -to taste                       Â
Oil                    -1 tbsp
For sauce:
Whole garam            -to temper
Onion                 -1/2 finely chopped
Tomato  pureed          -1 cup
Ginger garlic paste       -11/2 tsp
Coriander powder        -11/2 tsp
Cumin powder          -1tsp
Green chillies           – 2
garam masala powder     -1 2 tsp
Cilantro                -finely chopped
Method:
- In a pressure cooker add a tsp of oil,ground turkey,salt,chopped ginger ,coriander powder,chilli powder,turmeric and 1 finely chopped onion
- Saute for 2-3 minutes and add water to it .pressure cook for a whistle.
- In a kadai heat oil and temper with whole garam.
- Add the chopped onions and slitted green chillies and fry until it turns pink. add the ginger garlic paste and fry until the raw flavor goes off.
- Pour the pureed tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the coriander powder,cumin powder and (pinch of turmeric is optional)mix well.
- Now mix the cooked turkey to it and mash it with a spoon.
- Cook it covered for 8-10 minutes and sprinkle garam masala
- Garnish with cilantro.
- Serve with Rice/chapathi/dosa
