Nandu thengaipaal kuzhambu/Crab in coconutmilk gravy
Ingredients:
Crab/nandu (precooked)– 750 g
onion               -2 cup finely chopped
tomato              -1/2 cup finely chopped
ginger garlic paste      -1 tbsp
curry leaves          -few
green chillies          -2Â
coriander powder      – 1 tbsp
cumin powder         – 11/2 tsp
chili powder          – 1-11/2 tsp
salt                 – to taste
turmeric             -1/4 tsp
coconut milk thick      – 1 cup
whole garam          – to temper
oil                  -11/2 tbsp
cilantro              -to garnish
Method:
- In a pressure cooker heat oil and temper with whole garam.
- Add ginger garlic paste, green chilies and curry leaves and fry until the raw flavor goes off.
- Add onions and fry until golden.
- Now put all spice powders ,salt & turmeric .
- Mix well.Add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook until mushy.
- Add the cooked crab and mix well.
- Add 1 cup coconut milk and 2 cups of water Â
- Cover and pressure cook for 3 whistles. Garnish with cilantro.
- Serve over Rice.
