Hey there foodies and travel enthusiasts! Guess what? I’ve got a fantastic food adventure to share with you all, and trust me, you won’t want to miss this one. So, buckle up and join me on my journey to Hotel Ponram Food Square on the Madurai Salem Highway in Dindigul!

Picture this: A spacious restaurant with ample parking, a cool kids’ play area, and an ambiance that’ll make your heart smile. I visited during the holiday rush, and oh boy, it was packed! But fear not, they had a cozy waiting area with some fascinating wall pictures showcasing the history of Biryani. While waiting, I got to dive into the menu specials of the day.
Now, let’s talk soup. We kicked things off with the attukal soup, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! Picture fresh ground pepper, garlic, cumin, and curry leaves dancing in your mouth. It was super yummy and the perfect start. Moving on, we couldn’t resist the Mutton Biryani cooked with Siraga Samba rice – a must-try for all Biryani lovers out there. The mutton was tender, and the spice blend was out of this world.
But, and there’s always a but, the Tawa fish fry didn’t quite hit the mark. The fish was heavily coated and lacked that tasty kick. Lesson learned: always ask about the fish variety before ordering.
Then came the showstopper – Mutton Booty Omelet. Sprinkled with pepper for that extra spice, it was a perfect fusion of booty pieces and spices. Yum, yum, yum!
Now, I had to know their secrets, so I asked for another special – the Karuveppilai Chicken. A coating of freshly ground spices, perfectly soft chicken – it was drool-worthy and worth every bite.
To cap off this feast, we sipped on a refreshing Blue Lemonade Motto. But wait, the adventure wasn’t over! There’s a bakery and ice cream parlor just a corridor away. Yes, you heard right! We couldn’t resist, and they had tons of ice cream flavors. They even let us taste a few before deciding. Gulkand, Ginger, American Classic, and Peppermint – we tried them all. The service was top-notch, and the experience was as sweet as the ice cream.
So, my fellow travel and food enthusiasts, if you’re ever in Dindigul, Hotel Ponram Food Square is a must-visit. Sure, there might be a bit of a wait during peak times, but trust me, it’s worth it. And don’t forget to explore the bakery section – unfortunately, I missed out this time, but there’s always a next visit!
Now, who’s ready to embark on their own culinary adventure? Let’s chat! 😊
