Chennai wakes up with a vibrancy that’s hard to describe. The air thrums with a certain energy, a collective sigh as the city stretches into a new day. And what better way to embrace this energy than with a delicious vegetarian breakfast? That’s exactly what we found ourselself doing recently, at Mathsya Pure Veg, a restaurant nestled in the heart of T Nagar.
We were stumbled upon Mathsya Pure Veg – crispy dosas glistening with ghee, fluffy idlis begging to be dipped in sambar, and filter coffee that promised an invigorating kickstart to the day. The restaurant itself seemed to echo this vibrancy. They gave a clean and welcoming ambiance, and that’s exactly what greeted usas I walked through the doors.
The menu at Mathsya Pure Veg is a vegetarian’s dream. There’s a whole universe of South Indian breakfast staples to choose from – idli, dosa, vada, pongal – each prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The video showcased some of their signature dishes, and I couldn’t resist starting with the classic Masala Dosa. The dosa was crispy on the outside, giving way to a soft and flavorful potato masala filling – a textural and taste bud explosion in every bite.
Of course, no South Indian breakfast is complete without the perfect accompaniments. The sambar at Mathsya Pure Veg, was the ideal balance of tangy and spicy, while the chutneys added a burst of fresh flavor. And then there was the filter coffee – strong, aromatic, and the perfect way to wash down the delicious food.
We have perfectly captured the essence of Mathsya Pure Veg – a place where vegetarians can indulge in a delightful and satisfying breakfast experience. The staff, seemed friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself had a clean and hygienic feel.
If you’re ever in T Nagar, Chennai, and looking for a vegetarian breakfast that will leave you happy and energized, look no further than Mathsya Pure Veg. Their wide variety of dishes, fresh ingredients, and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit for any vegetarian foodie.
They charged Rs 250 /- + tax .Aso it might be a good idea to call the restaurant and check timingd before you head over. Also, navigating Chennai can be tricky, so I’d recommend checking online maps for directions.
