Flavorful Lunch at Tofu Pan Asian Culinary in Lulu Mall, Bangalore

Welcome back, foodies! Today on Mellowbites, we’re diving into an amazing Pan-Asian lunch experience we had at Tofu Pan Asian Culinary inside Lulu Mall, Bangalore. From sushi rolls to Thai curry, every bite was a flavorful journey!

Ambiance and First Impressions

Walking into Tofu Pan Asian, we were immediately drawn to the lively red and black decor with vibrant yellow lighting, creating a cozy, modern vibe. The atmosphere felt both chic and inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch. As we took our seats, the server welcomed us warmly and expertly guided us through the diverse menu, making the selection process easy and enjoyable.

Since our food would take around 15-20 minutes, we enjoyed a unique peek into the open kitchen, watching the chefs at work. Their precision in chopping and rolling sushi was mesmerizing—the finesse behind each movement was an art form! It’s not often you get to see this level of skill so up close, and it definitely added a touch of excitement to our experience.

Starting with a Refreshing Beverage

Our Peach Iced Tea arrived first, and it was just the refreshment we needed. We requested a half-serving, and it hit the spot with its balanced fruity sweetness and mild tea flavor. Bhargav especially loved its cooling effect, making it the perfect starter for our lunch.

Diving into the Starters

We started off with three exciting appetizers:

  • Dynamite Shrimp:
  • These juicy shrimp were coated in a light, crispy batter and smothered in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce that packed a wonderful kick. Bhargav tried the first bite, finding it both saucy and appetizing, even though it was piping hot!
  • California Rolls:
  • We never skip sushi, and the California rolls here were exceptional. Made with fresh avocado, crab, and cucumber, each roll was wrapped in a thin layer of nori and rice, creating a lovely balance of flavors. Bhargav enjoyed them without chopsticks, dipping each roll into the soy sauce, while Poorna savored each bite in turn. A true sushi delight!
  • Samurai Chicken:
  • This was a must-try recommendation from our server. The dish was beautifully presented, with tender chicken pieces coated in a savory, mildly sweet sauce that left us wanting more. The juicy texture and delicious sauce made this dish a clear favorite among the starters.

Main Course Highlights

For the main course, we ordered Thai Red Vegetable Curry with Rice and Nasi Goreng:

  • Nasi Goreng: A classic Indonesian-inspired fried rice, it came with smoky chicken satay skewers and a perfectly soft half-boiled egg. The rice was flavorful and well-seasoned with spices. Bhargav and Balaji loved the chicken satay, while I enjoyed the creamy yolk of the half-boil.
  • Thai Red Vegetable Curry: Poorna tried this aromatic curry first, loaded with fresh veggies like broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers. The curry had a rich, creamy texture from coconut milk, with a mild yet comforting spice. Paired with rice, it was a fulfilling and flavorful experience.

Final Impressions

By the end, we were completely full, even skipping dessert. From the warm hospitality and beautifully plated dishes to the delicious flavors and chic ambiance, our experience at Tofu Pan Asian Culinary was thoroughly enjoyable. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Pan-Asian flavors in Bangalore!
