If you’re a food lover exploring Madurai, you might be tempted to try Belgian Waffles and Crepes – a chic café promising indulgent desserts and savory delights. We recently visited this vibrant spot, and here’s our honest review!

Ambiance & First Impressions
From the moment we stepped in, the café’s party-themed décor stood out. With a stunning blend of pink and red floral designs and golden accents, the place felt like a celebration zone. They also offer two special stage areas for birthdays and anniversaries – perfect for small gatherings.
We opted for the lounge-style seating, which was cozy and inviting. The café provided two menu cards – one focusing on starters and drinks (ranging from ₹99 to ₹500) and another dedicated to desserts like waffles, pancakes, and crepes – both designed like fancy greeting cards.
Our Culinary Experience
Our excitement turned to disappointment when we learned that waffles and soup were unavailable – a surprise since waffles were the café’s highlight. Nevertheless, we decided to explore other offerings.
- Mango Boba Shake – This creamy delight was rich and filling, though we found it slightly too heavy.

- Paneer Sticks with Peri-Peri Fries – The crispy outer layer of the paneer paired well with the soft interior, though the peri-peri fries felt unnecessary.

- Ferrero Rocher Pancakes – A true indulgence! Three soft, fluffy pancake layers were drizzled with chocolate sauce, cream, and hazelnuts – a sweet and nutty delight.

- Chicken Momos – While flavorful, the serving size of five pieces for ₹300 seemed overpriced. Additionally, pairing them with tomato ketchup felt mismatched.

- Butterfly Pea Tea – A purple-hued drink that was mild in taste. Pre-sweetened with honey, we still needed to add extra sugar to balance the flavor.
Final Verdict
While the flavors and ambiance were enjoyable, we felt the pricing was on the higher side. Despite the aesthetic appeal, the limited availability of key menu items makes revisiting unlikely for us.
