When it comes to starting your day right, nothing beats a good breakfast buffet. During our stay at Ibis Hotel Coimbatore, just opposite lulu Hypermarket, we got to experience their wide breakfast spread that catered to both Indian and continental tastes.
The buffet had something for everyone – sandwiches, chocolate cake, buttermilk, and yogurt to begin with. Fresh sides like pickles, onions, and chutneys gave that homely Indian touch.
The dosa station was buzzing with activity. Along with dosas, there were sunny-side-up eggs, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and fried eggs – made fresh on request. This live cooking section added excitement to the buffet.
If you love light continental breakfasts, you’d enjoy the cereal counter with choco flakes, corn flakes, muesli, flavored honey, nuts, and dates. The highlight was the smoked chicken sausage with sautéed onions and bell peppers, paired beautifully with breads, butter, and jams.
The buffet stayed true to Indian flavors with aloo peas paratha, aloo matar with puri, mini uttapams, and vegetable upma. The vermicelli kesari topped with almonds was a sweet delight.
Other counters featured potato wedges, sautéed mushrooms, corn, fresh cut fruits, beet salad, and chicken salami – all beautifully arranged. We also loved their note reminding guests not to waste food.
The Ibis Hotel Coimbatore breakfast buffet struck the right balance between taste, freshness, and variety. Whether you’re craving Indian comfort food or continental classics, this buffet has plenty to offer.
