Channa Sundal

Ingredients:

Channa                    1  cup
onion                        1 medium size chopped
lemon juice               1 tsp
oil                              1 tsp
mustard seeds             1/4 tsp
urad dhal                      1/2 tsp
cumin seeds                1 tsp
red chillies                   3
asafoetida                    1 pinch
turmeric                      1 pinch
chaat masala                1 tsp
cilantro                        to garnish
salt                               to taste

Method:

  • Soak channa for atleast 5 hours
  • Pressure cook for upto 3 whistle in 1 1/2 cup of water
  • In pan heat oil add temper with mustard ,cumin and urad dhal red chillies,turmeric,asasfoetida
  • Add chopped onion once it turns transparent add channa ,chaat masala desired salt
  • after two minutes  garnish with lemon juice,cilantro(optional : shredded coconut)
  • Healthy Evening snack and a stomach filling one too
