Chicken kofta curry

Ingredients:

For Kofta

Chicken                            250 g
onion                                3 tbsp finely chopped
cilantro                             finely chopped
coriander powder            1/2 tsp
chilli powder                   1/2 tsp
salt                                   1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste           1 tsp
corn flour                         2 tsp

For Curry

Whole garam
fennel seeds                            1/4 tsp
onion                                       1  big  ground to a paste
ginger garlic paste                   1 tsp
turmeric                                    1 pinch
tomato                                       1 big chopped
coriander powder                      1 tsp
chilli powder                              3/4 tsp
cumin  powder                            1/2 tsp
coconut milk                               1 cup
water                                           2 cups
oil                                                1 tbsp
cilantro                                         to garnish

Method:

  • Mix all the ingredients for kofta  and make into equal size balls 
  • Referigrate it  for atleast 2 hours
  • Now in a pan heat oil add the whole garam and fennel seeds
  • Fry ginger garlic paste until the raw flavour goes off
  • add the onion paste  and turmericand  fry until it turns golder brown losing aall its water
  • Now add the chopped tomato
  • After 2 – 3 minutes add all spices and salt and cook for 3 minutes
  • pour the coconut milka nd 2 cups water
  • Allow it to boil
  • Once started boiling slowly add th chicken koftas into it
  • cover the lid and cook on low flame for 20 minutes
  • the chicken should be cooked and the gravy be thickened
  • Garnish with cilantro
  • Serve with chapathi or Rice
