Capsicum (Bell pepper or kuda milagai) masala

 

Ingredients:

Capsicum (Bell pepper or kuda milagai)-1
Onion-1/2
Tomato-1
Garlic-3
Redchilli powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tbsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Fennel powder-1/4tsp
Tamarind juice-1/2 cup
Cooked tur dal-1/4 cup
Mustard seeds

 
 

Method:

  • Heat one tablespoon oil in a pressure pan and add mustard seeds,crushed garlic.

  • add the onion  and fry till it turns goldenbrown 
  • Now add tomato and saute well.


  • Add chopped capsicum and stir in for 3 min
  • After that put all spice powders and salt  and stir for another 3 min.
 
 
 
  • Then pour the tamarind juice and pressure cook for one whistle.
 
  • Once pressure goes off open the lid and add  the precooked toordal.
  • stir it and cook for 3-5 min. garnish with coriander leaves.
