Beans and Carrot poriyal

 

Ingredients: 


Beans- 150g

Carrot –   100 g


Chilli powder-1/2tsp


mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp


cumin powder – 1/2 tsp


shredded coconut – 1 tbsp


Chopped onion –    2tbsp


salt – to
taste


oil – 2
tsp
 
Methods
  • Wash and cut the carrots and beans into cubes.
  • In a pan heat oil and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
  •  
  • Add curry leaves and add onion and little salt.  
  • Once onion is transparent add carrots and beans and desired salt.
  •  
  • Sprinkle little water in between and fry until well cooked
  • Add chilli powder,cumin powder cook it 3 min .
  •  
  • Then add the Shredded coconut (coconut powder) to it and finish off.
  •  
  • Serve with rice and dhal
