Ingredients
Vazhakai/plantain                     -2

To roast & grind :
Red chilli                                -5
Channa dal                              -1 tsp
Urad dal                                  – 1 tsp
roasted chana dhal(porikadalai)Â – 1tsp
Cinnamon stick                       – 1 inch
Garlic clove                              -3
Fennel seeds                            -1/2 tsp

Coconut powder   -1/4 cup
onion                    – 1/2      Â
garlic cloves         -5
Method:
- Dry roast all the ingredients in table 1 and ground into a coarse powder and keep it aside.This is powder 1.

- In a little oil fry the contents of table 2 and grind it  into a coarse powder.This is powder 2.
- Steam  the plantain in a idli tawa.Peel the skin off  and shred it using a shredder.
- Mix the shredded plantain, powder 1 and  powder 2 and desired salt. Blend  it in mixer for just  5 seconds(do not over grind)
- Make into equal sized patties
- Deep fry in oil until golden brown
Serve hot with chutney
