Prawns Thokku/Eral thokku
Ingredients:
Prawns(de tailed and deveined) -25
mustard seeds                            -1/2 tsp
urad dhal                                    -1/2 tsp
cumin seeds                                -1/2 tsp
turmeric powder                        -1/4 tsp
ginger garlic paste                     -11/2 tsp
small onions                               -1/2 cup finely chopped
tomatoes                                     -4 finely chopped
salt                                             -to taste
chilli powder                              -2 tsp
sesame oil                                   -3-4 tbsp.
Method:
- In a pan add sesame oil and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
- Follow it with urad dal, cumin seeds, turmeric and ginger garlic paste.
- After the raw flavor goes off add the finely chopped small onions.
- When it turns golden add the finely chopped tomatoes.
- After a minute add the salt and chilli powder.
- Cook until oil oozes out and add the prawns to it.
- Cook until prawns are well done and garnish with cilantro.
- Serve with Rice/chapathi/idli/dosa
