Baby Potato masala
Ingredients:
Baby potato         -300 g
onion               -1 sliced
tomato              -1 medium finely chopped
ginger garlic paste     -3/4 tsp
ginger garlic paste     -3/4 tsp
salt                 – to taste
oil                  -1 tbsp
mustard seeds         -1 tsp
For masala:
Whole red chili       -4
curry leaves          -few
coriander seeds       -1 tbsp
cumin seeds          -1 tsp
cinnamon            -1/2 ”
cloves               -2
star anise             -1/2
bay leaf              -1
cinnamon            -1/2 ”

Method:
- In a pot boil baby potatoes until tender .Drain the water  and peel the skin off.
- In a pan heat little oil and fry the ingredients given under ‘For masala’ until well roasted.
- grind it along with ginger garlic paste and little water.
- In  kadai heat oil and temper with mustard seeds.
- fry sliced onions  until light golden.
- then add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook until mushy.
- Add the ground paste and cook until oil oozes out.Then put the peeled potatoes.
- Add  water and cover it with a lid.
- Cook until oil floats on top .Garnish with cilantro.
- Serve over Rice / chapathi
