HEALTHY SANDWICHES
We have shared 2 healthy sandwich recipes that is not only nutritious but delicious. One is chickpea sandwich and the other is Egg salad sandwich. Let us see the recipe one by one below.
CHICKPEA SANDWICH
Ingredients:
Wheat Sandwich bread – 4
Cooked chickpeas -1 cup
onion – 2 tbsp finely chopped
bell pepper-11/2 tbsp finely chopped
mexican seasoning – 2 tsp
salt – to taste
pepper- to taste
lemon juice -1 tbsp
mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
olive oil – 2 tbsp
lettuce -as needed
Method:
- In a blender , add the cooked chickpea and grind it into a coarse paste.
- Transfer it into a bowl ,add onion, bell pepper, mexican seasoning,salt, pepper, lemon juice , mayonnaise and olive oil
- Mix it well into a spreadable consistency.
- Spread it on your sandwich bread, place the lettuce and close it with another bread.
- Chickpea sandwich can be served as such or grilled.
Serves 2
EGG SALAD SANDWICH
Ingredients
Hard boiled eggs -3
Mayonnaise -1/4 cup
Salt -to taste
Pepper -to taste
Mustard powder -1/4 tsp
Wheat Sandwich bread -4
Lettuce – 2 tbsp chopped
spring onions -1 tbsp chopped
Method:
- take the shells off the hard boiled eggs and chop into cubes.
- Put mayonnaise ,salt ,pepper, lettuce ,mustard powder, lemon juice to it .mix well with a fork giving a little smash to it. Egg salad is ready.
- Take a bread slice and apply the salad on one side of the bread.
- Keep the other bread slice over it. Serve it as such or Grill it.
