Hey foodie friends! Let me tell you about my recent awesome food adventure at HOKKAIDO in Chennai. Imagine a cozy Japanese spot on the third floor, so after some excitement, we hopped into the elevator (smart move after climbing stairs).

So, we get to HOKKAIDO, and the vibe is perfect – warm lights, private cabins, and a chill atmosphere. A warm green tea welcome is just what we needed after the climb. And those cute bowls and chopsticks? Not just for show – they’re for soy sauce dipping!
Now, the menu is like a food novel, so we asked for help. The friendly host suggests two sushi options, sticky rice, or a curry bowl for the ultimate lunch. Fast forward to the sushi – seven years without it, and the salmon burrito in crunchy California roll is like a reunion. The presentation is drool-worthy, and we can’t stop at just one bite!
Next up, the crunchy California roll – a party in your mouth with those tiny crunchy balls. It’s unbelievably delicious, and the flavors linger. Now, the Chicken Sticky Rice – perfect for non-sushi lovers. It’s like Japanese fried rice, super sticky, and super, super tasty.
For noodle fans, there’s the Yakhi Sobha – noodles, meat, and veggies mixed in. Mom switched to a fork, and it worked out fine. Bhargav even had fun playing with the chopsticks. No desserts on the menu, but our Japanese feast already left us happy.
Overall, HOKKAIDO is a winner. Great service, amazing food, and we leave with happy hearts. And we took the elevator down this time – perfect ending to a fantastic food journey.
So, if you’re ever in Chennai, check out HOKKAIDO. Whether you love sushi, noodles, or just want a good meal in a nice place, it’s worth it. Ever had a sushi that blew your mind? Or maybe you’re a chopstick pro? Share your foodie stories! Happy eating!
