A Flavorful Feast at Thamboora, Trichy – A Multi-Cuisine Delight!

Hi foodies! 🍽️ Welcome back to Mellowbites! Today, it’s lunchtime in Trichy, and we are here at Thamboora – a multi-cuisine restaurant that promises a melody of food! 🎶 Sounds exciting, right? Let’s step in and check it out!


Ambience & Menu 🎥

The moment we walked in, the elegant and calm ambience made us feel so comfortable. The décor was simple yet classy, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal.

Now, let’s talk about the menu—and oh my, it was huge! 📜 From soups, salads, sandwiches, and continental starters to pizzas, tandoori delights (₹200-600), specialty sizzlers, rolls, fondues, biryanis, and even Chinese noodles and fried rice—it had everything! There were also tandoori breads, Indian and Oriental main courses, accompaniments, and a massive list of desserts.

With so many choices, we decided to keep it simple and ordered one soup and two main courses. While waiting for the food (about 15 minutes), we noticed a winter special menu placed on the table—only after ordering! Oh well, next time! 😅

Over the table, they had mint chutney, mayonnaise, red chili flakes, and mixed herbs to amp up the flavors. Now, let’s dive into our order!


Lung Fung Chicken Soup 🍲

First up, we ordered Lung Fung Chicken Soup—a classic Chinese delicacy! This soup had a thick, velvety texture, and the cloudy, foamy egg whites floating on top made it look so inviting.

As I took my first sip, I was pleasantly surprised—the rich, umami flavors with tender shredded chicken made this soup an absolute winner! 🤩 Warm, comforting, and packed with flavor—definitely a must-try!


Pasta Barbesca – Risotto Pasta 🍝

Next, we had our first main course—Pasta Barbesca, which is a risotto-based pasta dish! Served alongside a slice of crispy garlic bread, the presentation was spot-on.

The risotto pasta was creamy, velvety, and perfectly cooked, with rich, cheesy flavors that melted in the mouth. The aroma was irresistible, and the sauce was one of the best we’ve ever had! 🤩 The blend of Italian herbs, parmesan, and silky smooth texture made this dish heavenly! Bhargav enjoyed every bite, and trust me, this is a must-try for all pasta lovers!


Oriental Chicken Sizzler 🔥

Up next, we had the Oriental Chicken Sizzler—served smoking hot! This grilled-to-perfection chicken was plated with parsley rice, stir-fried veggies, and a side of French fries. 🍟

Poorna started with the crispy French fries, enjoying every bite. Then, she moved to the grilled chicken—but cutting it was a bit tricky as it was slightly overcooked. The texture was a bit chewy, but when paired with the flavorful parsley rice, it still worked well. The stir-fried veggies were crunchy, adding a nice bite and freshness to the dish.


Overloaded Chicken Sizzler 🍗🔥

Then came the star of the show—the Overloaded Chicken Sizzler! It was a visual treat, served on a bed of cabbage, with a generous portion of egg rice, juicy chicken, crispy French fries, and topped with sago crisps.

The sago crisps were interesting—crispy at first but a bit sticky while chewing. But let’s talk about that chicken—it was incredibly soft, juicy, and coated in a delicious masala. The reddish-orange glaze made it look so appetizing, and the flavors? Bold, spicy, and absolutely drool-worthy! 🤤🔥 If you love spicy food, this is a must-have dish!


Final Thoughts 🎥

From start to finish, our experience at Thamboora was absolutely delightful! The food was well-prepared, beautifully plated, and packed with flavors. Though the grilled chicken was a bit chewy, the soup, risotto pasta, and sizzlers totally made up for it! 🍽️✨

Would we visit again? Absolutely! 💯 There’s still so much left to explore on their menu, and we can’t wait to try more!
