Lemon Rice
Ingredients:
Rice               – 1 cup
Lemon juice  – 1/4 cup
mustard seeds – 1tsp
channa dal       – 1 tbsp
urad dhal         – 1 tbsp
peanuts            – 1 tbsp
turmeric           – 2pinch
salt                   – to taste
Red chillies       -6
Garlic cloves   – 8
Curry leaves    – few
Sesame oil        – 6 tbsp
Method:
- Pressure cook rice with 21/2 cups of water and required salt in a cooker for a whistle
- Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter
- add red chillies and garlic cloves
- Then add chana dal, urad dal, peanuts, curryleaves and turmeric
- pour the lemon juice after the tempering ingredients gets roasted
- after a minute add required salt for tempering.
- Â mix it with the rice thoroughly.
- Serve with paruppu vada(masala vada)
