Hey there, fellow travel enthusiasts! Welcome back to our journey. Today, let’s dive into the tales of our first day in the enchanting land of Kerala. Picture this – me, my brother, and a car full of excitement, ready to explore every nook and cranny.
The day kicked off from our humble abode, the clock striking noon. Setting our sights on Kerala, the anticipation was building up. A 4-5 hour drive later, we found ourselves standing in awe at the majestic Padmanabha Swamy Temple.
Bhargav and I couldn’t help but chat endlessly about the scenic drive, but once we stepped into the temple, the hush fell upon us. Unfortunately, phones were a no-go inside, but outside, we captured the essence – dark skies, an early morning mist, and a divine view of the temple pond.
Our next stop? Ali Mala Shivan Temple. Imagine a temple nestled by a stunning beach. As we entered, the sheer beauty left us speechless. Next to the temple, a vast expanse of black sand met black waters – an unexpected yet breathtaking sight.
Fast forward to our hotel room – the haven where dreams meet a comfy bed. After a good night’s sleep, we fueled up with a breakfast buffet fit for kings. From fruits to pastries, and a sprinkle of Kerala flavors, we indulged. I settled for overnight oats and apple juice while Bhargav explored the spread. Mom, on the other hand, was savoring every bite of a delicious breakfast.
Our third stop was the zoo. Nestled amidst greenery, it felt like a stroll through a forest, with exotic animals as our companions. The zoo had a vibe that resonated with all age groups. Inside, a butterfly park added a touch of enchantment.
Post-zoo exploration, we ventured into a little art gallery and the Napier Museum. Though filming wasn’t allowed, the memories we made were immortalized in photographs, especially in the beautiful garden outside.
For lunch, we ascended the stairs to Hotel Mubarak, a Kerala-style food haven. Fish, prawns, and all things delightful awaited us. The flavors danced on our tongues, and we couldn’t resist capturing the experience – a video you can check out in our description.
Up next, the Priyadarshini Planetarium – a window to the stars. The science center there kept us engaged with cool experiments while we waited for the show to begin. Unfortunately, filming inside wasn’t allowed, but the wonders of space left us in awe.
Last on the list was Sunil’s Wax Museum. Imagine standing next to life-like wax statues of celebrities, politicians, and athletes. A quirky, fun-filled experience for sure. We ended the day with a delightful dinner at a charming spot, savoring Kerala-style puto.
As we retire to our room, laden with memories, we invite you to join us on day two. If you’ve enjoyed the ride so far, hit that like button and let us know in the comments. And hey, don’t forget to check out the links in our description for more detailed reviews.
